It was midnight, 12 O'Clock when he suddenly woke up after hearing loud sounds coming from outside of his door. He got scared and opened the door quietly. Yep, they again surprised Bishal. Almost all classmates came to wish him with a beautiful cake with them.
He was happy but still he was missing something and all of sudden a mobile rang. It was a new number and at first he couldn't guess who's number it was. Then he heard a beautiful voice of a girl. He wondered who she could be. The girl said, "Happy Birthday". Well he was busy with his friends so he replied in hurry, "Well thank you so much for wishing me. Now I'm with my friends and your sound is not clear. I will you call you tomorrow."
Yes, it was Deepti. She felt a little bit bad as she felt like ignored by him. She just couldn't sleep till 12 am because she had to wish him first but he said just 'Thank You'. She remembered her first talk with him when she gave him the same 'Thank You'. But she was happy that at least she wished him on his birthday.
On other side he with his friends sang, danced and enjoyed for two hours and finally the party ended nearly at 2 am. They hugged him and went to their respective rooms of their hostel. Bishal went on bed and again started thinking about the same girl who called him. His mind didn't stop until he decided to call her. It was nearly 2:30 am and she still received his call. He told her if he knew her. Deepti said, 'It's me Deepti. I thought you knew it". Bishal actually didn't have any idea but he told her that he knew her while she called just he didn't wanted her to know that he couldn't recognize her. They said, "Goodnight" to each other and hung up the phone. After that Deepti got nervous and sad at the same time. Thoughts started swirling around her head, "If he was waiting for my call, he would have recognized me while I called. It means he wasn't expecting me to wish him. It means I am not much important for him...Blah! Blah! Blah!". The other side, Bishal's head was swimming with same type of thoughts. They both couldn't sleep for two more hours.
As a whole it was a beautiful day for both of them. They were one step more close to something they never imagined.
